Dear Yogi,
The word holiday comes from the same root as the word holy - this time of year is a sacred time. Whether you celebrate any particular holiday or not, it is a great time to stop and reflect on the sacredness of life. All around us nature has turned inward and is nurturing the seeds that will grow again in the spring. How are you nurturing your spirit and dreams right now?
At the same time we are called to turn in, it is a busy time of year. End of year responsibilities at work, lots of people on vacation, maybe our own travel plans, holiday shopping and celebrations are all competing for our time and attention. We live with paradox like this all the time - remember hatha -the balance of opposites!
Regardless of your busy-ness, can you take time out for your-self? Reflect on your life, where you are and what has brought you here. Take some deep breaths, spend time being quiet and enjoy you!The you are now is the gift you have to support you in being the you you are becoming.
As we end the year here at HeartSong we are especially grateful to all of you who are part of who we are! You have made HeartSong what it is and we plan to continue to nurture each of you in whatever way we can through yoga to support us all in growing and flourishing.
Peace, joy and many blessings to you.
