One of our community members, Vanessa Rodin, is in need of some extra support right now and I would like to extend her request to you all.

Vanessa attends the Tuesday and Thursday 9 a.m. classes and last year offered her support to several of you as an apprentice in the Beginning class on Sunday mornings. A couple of weeks ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is in the process of gathering information and learning about treatment alternatives and working to take good care of herself through some supportive therapies like acupuncture and other body work.

Vanessa is a strong believer in the power of alternative medicine and the power of the mind in healing. As a Shiatsu massage therapist she has supported countless people in healing. Also as a massage therapist who has a private massage practice, she doesn't have health insurance to cover these alternative therapies. This limits her financial resources for pursuing treatments that she knows to be so beneficial.
Vanessa is requesting that we all keep her in our thoughts and prayers. Send her love and light and blessings for healing. In addition she has a healing fund set up and if you have the resources to assist her, she will be incredibly grateful. Any amount will be helpful.

We will take checks, made out to Vanessa with "Gift" or "Healing Fund" written on the memo line, here at the studio and make sure they get to her.
